I am feeling a bit playful today. So I thought I'd have a little fun with today's Retro WW experiment, and make a game out of it!
What we have here is Card #6 from the 1974 Weight Watchers Recipe File: Chicken Bisque.
I made it. I ate it. It was....interesting.
It was also PINK.
Now comes the fun part: Can anyone guess the 5 main ingredients that make up the base for this figure-friendly soup? And don't even say chicken. That's in the title, and you don't get credit for that one.
Remember, folks. This is a Retro WW Recipe. Anything goes.
Ready. Set. GO!
NOTE: I will reveal the answer in my next post and the lucky commenter who comes the closest will get a very special Bloggy shout-out! Good Luck!

Ok, I'll guess. Hmmmm, tomatoes, red peppers, bouillon, dehydrated onions, and hotdogs?
Cottage cheese! Aaaaaaaand... Canned diced tomatoes. Chicken bouillon, water, possibly some kind of seasoning, but you never know with 70's recipes. Certainly no more than a smidgen. Possibly onion powder.
Can I just say that I adore that bowl? Haha
Chicken stock, cottage cheese, worcestershire sauce, paprika and onion flakes? *bile rising*
I love your blog! My dad was on WW in the 70s, before I was born, and I actually have the whole book of recipes in the kitchen... I wonder if they are as scary as this :) As for the ingredients, I'm going to guess canned tomatoes, fat free sour cream, onion flakes, chicken seasoning and creamed corn.
PIMENTOS.
Hmm.. tomatoes, beans, red pepper, cumin, and ketchup?
I would guess evaporated milk, pimentos, dried onion flakes, worchestire sauce, and flour.
beets beets beets?!
:)
Cottage cheese and pimientos, plus dehydrated onion flakes, bouillon, and ... hm.... canned bean sprouts?
Love the new wallpaper, BTW.
